Dumping and loading Meta information to/from sidecar file

Top  Previous  Next

You can dump all Meta data to a separate file. This allows you to store or archive the current Meta information. Dump the Meta information by clicking the save button in the toolbar of the Exif window.

You will be prompted to enter the file name. This file name is pre-filled with the current images filename using the .exif file extension. It is recommended to leave this filename unchanged. That is because in that case IDimager will always make sure the .exif dump file is kept together with the original photo in case of moving or archiving the photo.

To load the Meta info dump back to your image (or another image) you can click the load button next to the save button. Now point to your Meta dump file and it will be read to the image. Keep in mind that this will overwrite all existing Meta information.
