Open an image in an external application

You can also open an image inside your favorite photo editor or other third party applications. In that case, right click the thumbnail and select “Open With…” from the context menu. In this menu’s sub menu you have entries to the applications that are registered under Windows for this image format. You can add additional applications by selecting “Choose Program…”. This will allow you to select any application (make sure you select the .exe extension for that application; e.g.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Photoshop.exe or
C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 8\Paint Shop Pro.exe
By selecting the option “Customize…” you will be able to remove or change existing entries.
"Open With" applications automatically get their own keyboard shortcut. The shortcut is named "Shift+n" where n is the sequence number of the application in the list. In the example above, you see that I can press Shift+1 to open any selected thumbs in XnView(tm).
