Opening images

Every explorer allows you to navigate through its structure. The Collection Viewer will then show the thumbnails of the active collection.

A thumbnail is a small representation of an image and it acts as the “control entry” for that image. By using the thumbnail you can access all features for that thumbnail, for example opening the image in IDimager, opening the image in an external application, renaming the image, etc. Since this chapter describes how to use the Explorers in general, this section will only describe how to open an image directly in IDimager or in a third party application. Read the chapter about using the Image Editor/Viewer for a full description.
