Apart from publishing images to your own web pages, you can also upload photos directly from IDimager to photo sharing sites like Flickr (tm), SmugMug (tm), and ZenFolio (tm).
Uploading is quite simple and work identical for all different photo services. The best part is that you don't have to "prepare" your images up front (for example downsizing, framing, ...). This is done by IDimager during the upload by creating temporary images based on your selection.
After uploading to a photo sharing site, IDimager will also set the descriptions/titles, and add keywords. This is done apart from the metadata contained (or even not contained) in the uploaded images.
1. Select one or more thumbnails that you'd like to upload 2. Click the Transfer button in the main toolbar and then select the photo sharing site of your preference
3. Define your upload settings like size, naming, etc and click the [OK] button to continue
4. The dialog that follows depends on the photo sharing site that you've selected. In short they all allow you to select the location where the images should be uploaded to
FlickR:
SmugMug:
ZenFolio:
As you can see, both the FlickR and the ZenFolio uploader also allows you to create a new photo set/gallery if needed. In case of ZenFolio, first select the parent gallery, then enter the name of the new gallery and confirm with the small [OK] button to the right of the creation input field.
Select the location and click [OK] to start the upload process. |
