Using a media connection

A media connection is sometimes (incorrectly) called a “USB Connection”. As soon as you connect the camera to the computer, Windows will add a new drive for it. This drive contains the content of the memory card inside the attached camera. Essentially, the camera becomes a (expensive) memory card reader. To transfer images using this type of connection, you follow the exact same steps as when reading images using a memory card reader (as described in a previous section).
